Phoebe Jayes is a former online editor for The English Garden magazine. Phoebe holds the RHS Level 2 qualification, and lived on the Scilly Isles for a year while studying for Tresco Abbey Garden’s highly regarded Elizabeth Hess Scholarship. After working in gardens including Villa Boccanegra and Villa Silvio Pellico in Italy, as well as Rustenberg in South Africa, she is now a professional gardener in the UK, while continuing to write The English Garden’s regular People to Meet interviews with the UK’s eminent horticuturists, and her Substack chronicling her gardening and travels.
